WHAT’S NOW

March 12

7pm - 10pm  ($3 suggested donation)

featuring: Blank Line Collective

Concept/Direction: Todd Frugia

March 12 from 7-10pm ROOMS Productions presents MEANING MACHINES a new original performance installation featuring members of Chicago’s BLANK LINE COLLECTIVE (blanklinecollective.com).

ROOMS continues their recent exploration into sensory deprivation by blindfolding six performers and feeding them separate audio triggers via headphones to generate set monologues, sounds, and movements.  With no connection to the audience or each other, the performers will rely only on the looped random order of their cues to guide them.  MEANING MACHINES promises a spontaneous evening of unlimited dramatic combinations that examines our notions of meaning.

MEANING MACHINES is free and open to the public (however a $3 suggested donation to the gallery would be sincerely appreciated) for one night only Friday March 12 – doors are open from 7-10pm, inviting audience members to come and go as they please, as part of 2nd Friday presented by The Chicago Arts District at ROOMS Gallery located on the corner of Ruble and 18th street, 645 W 18th St Chicago, IL 60616.

Words differently arranged have a different meaning, and meanings differently arranged have different effects.
